What is the intention of the recording?

The intention of the recording is to capture the memories, experience, and stories of each person’s life.

How do I create a recording?

What we need from you is a digital recording of your loved one being asked questions about the journey of the life.  We can convert most formats into one we can edit.  It is important for you to test the volume of the recording when you first record to assure it is clear and loud enough.  Some aspects of the recording can be enhanced in the edit phase and we will do what we can to improve the quality.

You may find that the recording time will be done over multiple sessions.  It is important to duplicate the location and distance from the microphone so the sound quality is very similar in each session.

Download the sample questions and use them as a guide when asking questions. (Click here to download.) Your loved one’s history and and experiences will be unique and your knowledge will allow you to create questions to probe the memory of your loved one.

How do I get them to you?

First, send us an email that you are ready to upload your files.
Second, we will create a folder in Dropbox for you to upload them and send you the link.
Third, we will edit your files and send you a CD of the finished work.
