Reflecting Back – The Story of My Journey – is dedicated to telling the story of family members in communication using an audio format that can be retained and listened to by friends and family over the years. In the future our loved ones will be gone but the story of their life will live on in audio. Each person has a story and each story has a contribution to our community.
The story of this program begins with an end of a life and a priest telling those present about the life of someone he did not really know. What would happen if the lives of our loved ones could be captured before completion of life. People are leaving us and taking their rich history with them without the connection and completion of fully being loved for the life they lived.
Reflecting Back creates a possibility of families being connected, loving, and complete so that their stories can be told and retold to generations that follow. Their history and the family’s history can be passed on giving a sense of a “Where I came from…” experience.
We provide sample questions. You record the sessions, upload them, and have a place to save them. For small contribution, we can provide you with an edited CD/file of the conversations you have had.
The story is told, the family and friends have a relatedness they may never have known. Old stories that were never told are now told and retold by generations. Love and affinity is present. Also the families and seniors get to know that the people they created are interested in their lives.
Each person can contribute to our community by telling their story and each family can capture that story in audio files that can be edited into the story of their loved one’s life.
